Design

DEC, 2025

For the first time, I began to truly enjoy sharing my voice — understanding that growth doesn’t only come from creating, but from opening up, connecting honestly, and allowing yourself to evolve through every conversation and every person you meet along the way.

2025 was a year defined by momentum, learning, and openness. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities I had to share my work, speak about my processes, and reflect on the lessons that have shaped me. For a long time, speaking about my work felt unfamiliar — even uncomfortable at times — but this year shifted something in me. For the first time, I began to truly enjoy sharing my voice, understanding that design is not only about what we create, but about how we connect, inspire, and grow alongside others.

Through these experiences, I realized that growth doesn’t come only from creating, but from opening up and sharing honestly — allowing yourself to evolve through conversations, challenges, and the people you encounter along the way. This year taught me that sharing my process, my doubts, and my learnings is just as important as the work itself, because design becomes stronger when it is shared, questioned, and lived collectively.

One of the most meaningful moments of the year was leading a workshop alongside my colleague Genaro Bernilla, where we explored creative processes, shared branding and packaging case studies, and spoke openly about how thoughtful solutions emerge through exploration, risk, and trusting new directions — rather than simply following trends. It was an opportunity not only to share knowledge, but to encourage new ways of thinking and creating with intention.

This year also marked the beginning of my teaching experience at UPC University, guiding seventh-cycle design students through their packaging projects. Witnessing their evolution — how they receive feedback, reinterpret ideas, and gradually shape their own voice — was incredibly enriching. Teaching reminded me that design is an ongoing exchange, one where learning flows in both directions.

Closing the year by speaking at Off the Record, an initiative by a collective of designers in Peru, offered another meaningful space for reflection. It allowed me to share not only the outcomes of my work, but also the fears, uncertainties, and personal growth behind it. Connecting with creatives from different disciplines reinforced the importance of building from a more honest and personal place — understanding that our experiences, emotions, and perspectives are essential in shaping the work we create.

More than anything, 2025 reminded me that design is not a solitary path, but a continuous process of sharing, evolving, and becoming — shaped by every conversation, every challenge, and every step forward.
