Design has taught me to trust intuition, stay curious, and embrace constant change. It has given me a way to understand myself and the world around me, translating ideas into experiences that connect with others. Moments like this remind me that growth happens gradually — through persistence, exploration, and the willingness to keep moving forward, even without knowing exactly where the path will lead.

In September 2025, I had the honor of participating in LAD Fest in Cusco — one of the most important design gatherings in Latin America, bringing together leading creatives, studios, and emerging voices from across the region and beyond.

That year, I was selected as a LAD Young Talent as part of a curated group recognizing some of the most promising young designers across Latin America. Being chosen among this group — and as one of the Peruvian designers invited to present and represent the country — was both a meaningful honor and a defining moment in my career.

LAD Fest has long been a space I deeply value. It’s where ideas expand, perspectives shift, and the purpose behind creative work becomes clearer. Each edition brings together designers and speakers whose work continues to shape the visual and cultural landscape of the region. Being immersed in that environment, and contributing to it, was both inspiring and deeply affirming.

Presenting my work in this context allowed me to share my process, my perspective, and the thinking that has shaped my journey as a designer. It also invited me to reflect on how profoundly design has transformed me — not only professionally, but personally. Design has taught me to trust intuition, to embrace curiosity, and to remain open to constant evolution. It has given me a language to translate ideas into meaningful experiences and a way to connect with people through what I create.

Standing there, representing Peru and sharing my work alongside such talented designers, was a moment of perspective — a reminder that growth is built through persistence, exploration, and resilience. Experiences like this reinforce both a sense of responsibility and excitement for what lies ahead.

I’m deeply grateful to Latin American Design for this recognition and for creating platforms that support and elevate emerging voices across the region. I’m also thankful to Fibra Branding, where I first learned to approach design with sensitivity, intention, and emotional depth — values that continue to guide my practice today.

This milestone marks an important chapter in my journey and reinforces my commitment to continue creating thoughtful, meaningful work, while representing Peruvian design with authenticity on an international stage.

More than an achievement, this experience felt like a quiet reminder of why I chose this path in the first place. Not to seek recognition, but to remain in constant pursuit of creating work that feels honest, meaningful, and alive. Design continues to invite me into the unknown — to observe more closely, to question more deeply, and to approach each project with renewed sensitivity and intention.

Moments like this don’t mark an endpoint, but rather a continuation. They remind me that the real value lies in the process: in continuing to learn, to evolve, and to create projects that resonate — not only visually, but emotionally. What matters most is to keep moving forward with curiosity, discipline, and care, trusting that each step, no matter how small, contributes to building a body of work that is both purposeful and deeply connected to who we are becoming.

As designers, we don’t only build visual systems; we create experiences that move people. When we allow ourselves to acknowledge our emotions, remain aware of our surroundings, and stay open to the unexpected, design becomes more authentic and intentional.

I believe in approaching everyday life with the curiosity of a traveler — observing closely, letting new experiences surprise us, and remaining present in the world around us. It is through this sensitivity that we can create brands with heart: brands that feel distinct, purposeful, and deeply connected to the concepts they represent.
